The New Law Society Conveyancing Protocol - Could the new Integrated Case Manager help you?

2011 is set to be a challenging year for solicitors and residential conveyancers throughout the country with the SRA unveiling a sweep of PII reforms and the Law Society bringing in the new Conveyancing Protocol.

This protocol will provide a recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing.  It has been introduced to reduce fraud and improve standards throughout the industry.  

Although not an essential accreditation many solicitors have said they fear that solicitors and conveyancers may be struck off lenders panels and this could close many firms who have conveyancing as their main source of business.  And with the economy as it stands this would make life much more difficult for solicitors and conveyancers.

Some of the rules in the new protocol need carefully thought out procedures and standardised work flows – and you can keep in control of these obligations much more easily with a good case and practice management system
