Support
In addition to our comprehensive on-line help facility, our 5-days-a-week Perfect Books Help line is available from 9am to 5.00pm, answering your book-keeping and computer problems. In the event of a computer failure, our technical support team will recover the original data from your last back-up copy so that you can be up and running again as soon as possible.
Advice and Support
Advice and support covers the Perfect Books system, book-keeping and computer operation. We are pleased to give advice on any aspect of the operation of your legal accounts computer system. Whether you want to know about operating the VAT routine, posting swear fees to petty cash or starting up Windows, our support service can help. Telephone advice is available. For problems that require a fax or letter, we aim to post or fax replies to all problems within three working days of receipt.
Data Recovery
Your data is valuable. Even with regular back-ups, there is always the chance that data may be corrupted, lost or just plain mis-posted. Under the support contract, we will endeavor to recover it and tidy it up. We will not charge whatever the cause - whether 'finger trouble' (such as switching the machine off in the middle of posting) or hardware or software failure - even if the problem is caused by other software. We will always advise how to prevent a recurrence.
Revision Service
When the rules or rates change, we will circulate a system update within 10 weeks. This Revision Service covers:
- New Interest rates (as published by Natwest Bank)
- Changes to Legal Aid rates (as published in The Gazette)
- Changes to Law Society Solicitors' Accounts Rules
Upgrade Service
Perfect Books and Perfect Case Manager are under continuous review. Under the support service you are notified of the latest improvements and features available. Upgrades will be made available free of charge to all clients under a support contract. Upgrades will take place without change to your existing data, including all software and documentation - including the manual and guidance notes.
