Perfect Books
Perfect Books is our Accounts package designed to make accounting
for the smaller firm easy. It comes with all of the necessary
features to keep a complete set of solicitor's books, with all of
the necessary reports produced and all rules. Many of our clients
are not accounting or IT experts, and some of them found the
prospect of using new accounts software daunting. For over 15 years,
we have been helping small firms, some with no accounting
experience, to gain control of their practice.
The system comes complete with the following features. By no means

Compliance Assured
Every aspect of our Accounts package has been designed with the Solicitors Accounting Rules in mind. Filing your monthly reports is easy and can be done in minutes. The system will also warn you of infractions as they occur; you are reminded again with a report at the end of end of day until the infraction is cleared. If you are ever in any doubt about your level of compliance you can call our support team who are happy to help.
Access and Security
The security and integrity of your Accounts data is vital. Automatic
backups take place at the end of each day. Provided you follow our
backup system you will be able to restore your data safely no matter
what eventualities occur.
The Accounts system also comes with three levels of access, with
different features available to the Cashier, the Fee Earner and
Administration staff.
Client Database
The Accounts package comes complete with a built-in Client Database. This includes all of the features a small practice would need, and could save your practice a very significant sum as there will be no need to invest in a separate database. Plus all of the information is fully linked with all of the Perfect Software modules helping you retain control of your client matters.
Work types
Perfect Books is suitable for all kinds of Legal Work. Special
features can be included to help customise it towards the needs of
Conveyancers, Criminal specialists or other Legal Aid users.
Set up is easy so that your system can quickly have the journals and
work type options that your practice will need.
Banking
The system comes complete with Client and Office Banks. The standard system supports up to five Office banks and up to five client banks, as well as an unlimited number of designated deposit accounts. All of your bank accounts can be reconciled with simple ticks on the relevant entries - the calculations are done automatically and you just verify the balances at the end of each day or week.
Report Generator
The report generator is extremely easy to use and understand, at the same time it comes with all the basic selection, sorting and formatting options required by the smaller firm. You can then choose the options you need to see the data in the format that suits your working practices.
Nominal Ledgers
Perfect Books comes complete with a full standard set of nominal ledgers ready to use. Of course, you can, if required, customise the system by adding new nominals. And you can keep track of your nominals with a basic range of simple reports.
Purchase Ledger
Maintain control of your creditors and your outstanding invoices with the purchase ledger. This is an optional extra, which you can activate at any time.
Multi Currency
The system can even handle several separate currencies. Setting up separate banks to handle each currency is simple. We are not aware of any other system on the market that can handle multiple currencies that is available at a reasonable cost.
